I'm
not sure exactly when AFC Zion first appeared on the WMCFL scene, but
I think it was the mid-nineties. They had a moderate degree of success,
twice being promoted to Division One, as Champions of Division Two in
1999 and coming a close second to a rampant Grenfell in 2004. Sadly, as
we often find with clubs, they folded after being relegated at the end
of the 2005 season. In their last year, they made it to the League Cup
Semi Final, losing two-nil to the eventual winners Renewal Solihull.
